In people who are sensitive, allergies to triggers such as pollen or pet dander can cause an asthma attack. If members of your family have allergies, hay fever, and/or eczema, you may have a greater chance of having allergies yourself.

For people who suffer from asthma and seasonal allergies, spring (when trees and grasses are in bloom), and summer or early fall (when ragweed and mold are common), can make asthma worse.

It is important to talk to your doctor if you suffer from allergies and asthma. Your doctor may choose to prescribe medicine to help manage your allergies as well as your asthma symptoms.
